Hollywood, meh. The Asia Pacific Screen Awards are the Oscars for the rest of the world (and by rest of the world I mean the region that accounts for 60 per cent of the global population). With the ceremony set to get underway next Thursday, APSA jury member and co-director of the Toronto International Film Festival Cameron Bailey shared his favourite movie picks. Dig:“That’s always a difficult question, it’s impossible to pick just one. I like Hitchcock a lot, Vertigo is my favourite film of his. Also, I love Jerry Maguire. That used to be my girlfriend test. I’d make a girl sit down and watch it and if she liked it I knew she was okay. It’s impossible to pick just one and what I love about the job is almost every day I’m exposed to something new in cinema.”
